Two Classic Victorian parks in Southport, The Botanic Gardens and Hesketh Park have been nominated on a short list to be voted for by the public to be the best park in the UK.
There 48 are from the North West to choose from.
The votes can be cast by going to the Fields in Trust website and choosing from the list.

The Botanic Gardens is under Southport Botanic Gardens.
The voting closes at 5pm on Friday 3rd November.
The winner will be announced at Lords Cricket ground London on 29th November.
