Bold Hotel on Lord Street Closes for £2 million refurb

The Bold Hotel, Lord Street to close it’s doors on Sunday 3rd January to begin a £2 million refurbishment programme re-opening March 2016.

The bold hotel was sold on the 3rd of December 2015 than after on the market.

The Bold Hotel’s new owners, Mikhail Investments, have already made their mark on the hospitality industry and are capitalising on the success of their first venture in this market, the Eccleston Arms Bar & Grill in St Helens.

The hotel is listed as having a bar and restaurant area that seats 50, a function room that holds 200 and 23 en suite bedrooms.

The Bold’s website states the downstairs refurbishment has “created an open plan dining, bar and snug area, providing warmth, comfort and charm for both diners and drinkers,” which “complements their function suite.”

Speaking about the purchase, Andrew Mikhail said “I’ve been visiting Southport since I was a child and there’s something very nostalgic about this purchase for me.

“Watch this space – the team have some very special plans for this beautiful, historic building.

“We’re really looking forward to owning the Bold Hotel”.
