BHS bombshell turns into a bargain bin whimper

Shoppers hoping for a designer outlet opening in the former BHS store have been left disappointed.

Staff for a pop up discount store on a short lease have been stocking the ground floor of the former BHS store with ‘tat’ and cheap items ahead of a suspected Christmas rush.

One disappointed shopper emailed OTS to say: “I thought it was going to be a Zara or a House of Fraser and now it’s going to be yet another tatty old shop full of useless things we didn’t need because we already have them.”
