OTS News has been inundated with messages from worried Argos staff who have found out the store is set to close.
As part of the Sainsburys Meols cop move, staff from the Lord Street store could be moved into the new development meaning bosses have concluded there’s no need to have three in Southport.
Job losses are expected.
J L Sainsburys owns the Argos brand and already operate a huge Argos Xtra store on Meols Cop, but a in house collection counter at the new Sainsburys development would mean longer opening hours for customers to pick up parcels.
