Appeal for information after man caught performing sexual act in public toilets
Detectives investigating an incident have issued a CCTV still of a man they believe could have information which may help us with our enquiries.
At around 2.45pm on Thursday, 26 July, a man was witnessed performing a sexual act in public toilets inside Crosby Lakeside Leisure Centre.
The man detectives would like to speak to is described as aged between 30-40-years-old, 6ft 1in tall, of skinny build with a pale complexion, and a small square shaped moustache. He had short black hair with a receding hairline and was wearing black thin framed glasses.
It is believed there may have been a father and child in the toilets at the time of the incident and police are trying to trace them.
The offender immediately left the toilets and made off on a red bicycle away from the centre. An investigation is now underway to trace and arrest the offender and enquiries are continuing into the incident. Inspector Susan Stribling said: “Merseyside Police is appealing for any information from members of the public who may have witnessed a man fitting this description in and around the public toilets and their information could be vital to our enquiry. This is particularly concerning as the alleged offence took place in the middle of the school holidays at a public facility and there will have been a lot of children around at the time.
