Air Ambulance halts youth team football match at Meols Cop

9th December 2020

Young footballers in Meols Cop were shocked to find their match delayed by an Air Ambulance landing just metres away.

Play was halted on Meols Cop fields on Sunday morning until the helicopter left the field.

The air ambulance regularly uses KGV as a landing area to transport emergency patients to Southport Accident and Emergency department in a waiting ambulance.

The North West Air Ambulance charity runs 3 helicopters, attending over 2,000 jobs every year.
