AINSDALE VILLAGE dispersal zone will combat anti-social behaviour

A dispersal power under Section 35 of the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014 is now in place from 4:00PM Wednesday 30th October until 4:00PM Thursday 1st November, covering the area of AINSDALE VILLAGE shown on the map below.

This step has been taken to help combat anti-social behaviour, reduce disorder and reduce risk of damage to property, following recent incidents in the village area.

In Dispersal Zone areas, police officers or PCSO’s have the power to:

• Require anyone to leave the area and prevent them from returning for up to 48 hours.
• Require a person to surrender items that can be used to cause anti-social behaviour.
• Send/take under 16s home or to a place of safety.
• Arrest anyone who ignores the instruction.
