After the Storms in Ainsdale woodlands

Recent storms took a heavy toll on many trees in Ainsdale Nature Reserve’s woodlands. Mature pines appear to have suffered the most.

Storms Arwen and later Barra did significant damage in the Ainsdale reserve.

Above: Old fallen pines, logged and being transported away.

Bad news for the local squirrels and birdlife – hundreds of pines now stacked up along the tracks.
