93 motorists captured speeding on Formby By Pass
This week, as a result of complaints from the community around Formby By Pass, and the local authority, the Safer Roads Team carried out an enforcement operation on the by pass at Moss Bank, and by the junction with the Microlight centre.
From 5:00PM till 9:00PM (Wednesday 2 May) a total of 93 vehicles were captured speeding, using the new hi tec Motorcycle Ranger Laser device.
The minimum Speed detected was 68mph the maximum was 99mph.
All the incidents will be processed in the next few days with all drivers and riders receiving notices of intended prosecutions in the post.
The types of vehicles caught were cars and motorcycles.
