Woman hit by car on Duke Street 

A woman had to be taken to hospital last night after she was struck by a car on Duke Street( Wednesday 22 February).

It’s believed she was leaving the Masonic Hall Car Park when she was hit and knocked down.

Paramedics took 45 minutes to get to the scene while concerned passers by and Merseyside Police officers gave vital first aid.

The woman, who hasn’t been idenitifed, is recovering in hospital today from minor injuries.
