Violent burglary at former Liverpool FC Chairman’s luxury Halsall home

Police are investigating a violent burglary at a property on Halsall Road, Halsall last night (2 March).

At around 8:45pm, two men have forced their way into the property and made demands for cash and jewellery from the occupant, a 69-year-old man.

The victim was threatened and assaulted, with the thieves managing to get away with jewellery and watches.

The victim was taken to Aintree Hospital to be treated got head and leg injuries. He remains there at this time.

DI Marc Nasser from South CID said: “We believe this was an isolated, targeted attack and I would like to reassure local residents that we have stepped up patrols in the area.

“The investigation is still in its early stages but if you have any information that could assist us, please do get in touch.”
