Video: Police Investigation Underway Following Waterloo Road RTC Southport

Merseyside Police can confirm an investigation is underway following an RTC in Southport on Saturday, 10 January.

At approximately 10pm a patrol observed an Audi A3 travelling at speed in the Southport area. A short time late the patrol came across an Audi A3 that had been in collision with a lamppost on Waterloo Road.

Paramedics and fire fighters attended the scene and the 20-year-old driver had to be removed from the vehicle.

The driver was taken to hospital having sustained injuries to his face, head and chest and he remains in hospital at the present time.

Two passengers from the vehicle were treated at the scene for minor injuries.

The scene was examined and the vehicle was removed.
