The Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Merseyside, Mark FW Blundell Esq DL will be in attendance to cut the ribbon that will officially launch the plane on its’ journey around the schools. School Council Members representing EVERY school in Southport will also be there to see the plane for the very first time.
The Project has been commissioned by the Southport Learning Partnership (all the schools) who have had the replica built in order to ‘fly’ around the schools as a teaching aid and resource up until the centenary of the end of the war in November 2018.
