SOUTHPORT’S LAUGH OUT LOUD COMEDY CLUB HAS FIRST OF TWO BIRTHDAYS ON STAURDAY!

Just like the Queen, Laugh Out Loud Comedy has two birthdays. 

Organiser and compere Damion Larkin, an ex Meols Cop pupil and now top professional comedian, explains: “So we ran first the night at the Royal Clifton in 2006 and then moved around various different venues for a few years befroe finally settling with The Atkinson on Lord St. So even though we’ve been on in Southport for nine years, Saturdays show is our second anniversary at the theatre. We’re going to celebrate two years of hilarity with a cracking line up that will to make people laugh to excess!”.

Please do support this night mainly because its absolutely brilliant and you are guarenteed a great time. But also because with comedy clubs having closed up and down the country, we’re lucky to have this top notch show in the town and it needs your support.

Dave Johns is a regular guest on comedy panel shows ‘Never Mind The Buzzcocks’ (BBC2) and ‘8 Out Of Ten Cats’ (CH4) and is widely regarded as one of the top headline acts in the country.

A stand up comic since 1989, Dave is plays all the major comedy clubs in the UK and comedy festivals world wide. He has also appeared regularly at the Kilkenny Comedy Festival, in Ireland, Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal 2001, the Adelaide Fringe and Melbourne Comedy Festival. He has worked on stage in the Middle East, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Johannesburg, Sydney, New York, Amsterdam and the Arctic.

As an inventive, exciting and extremely funny comedian he has won applause from his audiences, respect from his fellow comics and rave reviews from the critics.

Julian Deane got his start by winning some of the most prestigious comedy competitions in the country. Since then he’s been wowing audiences across the UK with his genius punch lines and perfected dead pan delivery. Several prominent figures in the comedy industry have marked him out as one to watch. This is well deserved as his brilliant, utterly original and uproarious routines are a sure fire hit.

Felicity Ward is a multi-award winning stand-up comedian, writer and actor.  She’s best-known in Australia for her a multitude of TV work including Network 10’s The Ronnie Johns Half Hour, ABC’s Spicks and Specks. Now she’s matching this with TV & big screen work over here having appeared on Russell Howard’s Good News (BBC3) and in the Inbetweeners II movie. She’s an absolute performance powerhouse and flits between lovably mad and downright insane but always funny.
