Southport YMCA Charity Money Concerns

17th December 2015

Letter to the editor

On the opening weekend of December, the staff from Southport YMCA had their Christmas Night out at upmarket restaurant called Duke Ellingtons in Crosby.

The total bill came to just over £1000, this was receipted as the staff stated the charity money pays for their night out. Staff were ordering expensive alcoholic drinks and adding them to the bill.

Is this the way charity money should be spent?

If the people who donate money to the YMCA knew how their donations would be spent them I am sure they would not want to donate..
