Sefton Council issued 19,417 “parking charge notices” in the period January 1, 2014 to March 31, 2015 Half a million pounds was made by Sefton Council in a year from parking tickets issued in Southport. On average, 43 tickets a day, or 1,294 a month, were issued, giving the council an income of more than £505,502 in a 15 month period. The figures, obtained by the OTSnews through a Freedom of Information request, reveal that the Council issued 19,417 “parking charge notices” in the period January 1, 2014 to March 31, 2015.
