Southport Family Fundraise in Memory of a loved one

Southport Family Fundraise in Memory of a loved one.

The Harbottle family from Southport are aiming to promote the awareness of Suicide Prevention Charity, Papyrus.

In January 2015, the Harbottle family sadly lost a cherished member of their family, Jonathon Harbottle age 24. Jon was studying Games Design at Uclan University at the time of the incident.

Since their loss they have taken it upon themselves to raise awareness of charities to help the prevention of suicide. The charity they are raising awareness for is Papyrus.

Joanne Harbottle (Jon’s Stepsister) says “Jon was a much loved funny character by all, since his loss we have decided to raise money to help others who may feel the way that Jon did. We as a family feel that the charities out there to help others aren’t as well-known as they should be. Too many lives are taken by suicide and this needs to be addressed”.

The Harbottle family have set up their own Justgiving page and have so far raised over £1500. This money helps to train professionals and to deliver suicide prevention courses.
