Sefton Councils World Book Night – But not in Southport

Libraries across Sefton are set to mark World Book Night with an array of celebrations at different venues in the borough, including a giant book giveaway.

Taking place on Saturday, April 23, the event is an annual celebration of books, with passionate volunteers sharing their love of reading with people in their communities.

Staff from Bootle Library will be at the ‘Strand By Me’ in Bootle Strand, 11-2pm, to give away books to shoppers. There will also be a prize draw and refreshments for all.

Crosby Library has come up with an ‘eggcellent’ way of helping visitors select a free book with their lucky egg draw. While Netherton Library is hosting a book swap event, where local residents can swap their favourite books and discuss their favourite novels.

This year’s giveaway promises to be the biggest and best yet, so don’t forget to visit your local library this Saturday and join in the celebrations.
