Emergency services were called to the Weld road end of the Coastal Road at around 1.45pm today, Monday 20 April 2015.
An eye witness to reported:
“The car overtook the bike at the roundabout, then the motorbike rider was ‘hand gesturing’ and forced the vehicle off the the road.
The motorbike driver lost control in the process.”
The condition of the motorbike rider is not known at this time.
The motorbike rider was taken to Southport Hospital and the passengers were being treated at the roadside.
A police investigation is underway.
