Brogan, 30, absconded from Kirkham open prison on 7 October last year where he was serving a sentence for three counts of aggravated burglary, three counts of wounding with intent and for robbery. In September of 2008 Brogan and another man went on a rampage in Preston were they both stormed their way into houses armed with axes and knives, attacking and assaulting the occupants. In July the following year he was sentenced to eight years imprisonment for his offences, but was given a further eight year sentence in 2010 to run alongside his original order for the unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition. Crimestoppers is now offering a reward of up to £2,000 for information that leads to the arrest of Brogan. Gary Murray, North West Regional Manager for Crimestoppers, said: “Brogan has been on the run for over four months and he must be located to serve the rest of his long sentence.
