New Nugent Volunteer group launched

Do you have some spare time and would like to help us raise the charity’s profile and much needed funds for local people in need?

Social Welfare charity, Nugent is looking for people in north Liverpool, Crosby and Formby to join our new Volunteer Fundraising Group.

Our Volunteer groups work in their communities to organise fundraising events that help support the vital work we do in those areas. They provide a direct link between people, building trust and support for the vulnerable.

Come along to our Volunteer fundraising group information session on Wednesday 8 March 2017 1.30pm at The Sunshine Room, Ss Peter & Paul Church, Liverpool Road, Crosby, L23 5TE

For more information contact Michele Duckworth on: 0151 261 2000

We have over 250 volunteers working across our services and in our communities, helping us support over 6000 vulnerable children and adults each year.

Volunteers are vital to the smooth running of our charity. We have volunteers who have been involved with us for over 30 years, which is a testament to the dedicated commitment of our volunteers and the hard work in which they do for Nugent.

Nugent’s services we have over 25 different volunteering opportunities open to all including:

  • Office work, driving minibuses and fundraising.
  • Support and leisure groups with people with learning disabilities.
  • Community befriending schemes for isolated older people.
  • Support for adults with learning disabilities who are matched with a ‘buddy’.

At Nugent we recognise and value the involvement of every volunteer and have regular ‘thank you’ events and an annual volunteer award ceremony.
