Andy Preece has brought Louis Almond back on loan to the Merseyrail Community Stadium today.
The ex Blackpool and Hyde United forward will give the Port a big boost in the Vanarama National League run in. Almond was transferred to Tranmere in September but a near immediate change in management has seriously limited his chances at Prenton Park.
Louis Almond said “I’m delighted to be back at Southport and looking forward to be competing for a starting place. I want to play and it was great to be joining in this morning in the gym with the lads. Everything happened very quickly this morning.”
