Here are the 7 schools in Southport rated “outstanding” by education watchdog Ofsted have been revealed.
The schools range from a special needs school with just 50 pupils to a giant high school educating more than 1,100 children.
North Sefton dominates the league table, with six “outstanding” schools in Southport and four in Formby.
Schools can be given one of four ratings after a visit from Ofsted – outstanding, good, requires improvement or inadequate.
As well as exam results, Ofsted inspectors also take into account the quality of teaching and the views of pupils.
These are the 7 Sefton schools that currently have “outstanding” ratings – the borough is home to 107 schools.
