Children and OAPs were traveling on the bus as bricks were thrown

⋅ Nobody on the bus was seriously injured

⋅ Driver praised for his professionalism

The number 44 bus came under fire from youths last night. The arrival bus was traveling down Virginia Street at around 10:15pm when bricks were thrown at the window, Friday 9 October 2015.

Matthew who was traveling on the bus at the time said:

“I was traveling on the 44 down Virginia Street when suddenly the windows were shattered, luckily not smashing. Myself and another lad were lucky not to be injured, the driver was brilliant he checked if everyone was okay”.

A police investigation is underway, anyone with information can call Merseyside police on 101.
