A team of young net-ballers have won the Leyland Sports Association’s Junior League.
Lynne Barnett, lead coach at Southport Netball Club, revealed that the Under 14s Girls’ Team beat off com- petition from across the North West to win the League.
She said: “The last two seasons the girls have been runners up in the same league and only missed out by one goal to come second in the season before, in the Leyland League – which they have now won!
“Further recognition should go to the three girls from this team who have also been selected to represent Merseyside county. The selection process is tough
