XtremeSTORM Event Director Jonathan Cunningham MBE has great delight in presenting the XtremeSTORM Google Earth fly through at http://bit.ly/YxL8dr or accessed via the XtremeSTORM website at www.xtremestorm.com and click the YouTube link.
The XtremeSTORM team has been working ‘Xtremely’ hard with the run up to Christmas. Several facebook campaigns have been launched to spread the word of one of the most ambitious UK urban endurance events for 2013. Southport is set to become the backdrop for the most outstanding settings for those who wish to pit their strength, endurance and mental fortitude against ‘The STORM’ . The dates have been set for Sat 20th and Sun 21st April 2013 when Jonathan and ‘TeamXtreme’ will transform Southport into the largest urban battle ground in the UK.
Teams already entered include those from Sweden and Norway. Many have asked is this anything like ‘Tough Mudder’, ‘Spartan Race’ or Tough Guy’? The answer is no as those fabulous events are set within rural countryside or private estates.
XtremeSTORM combines the thrill of large ambitious and awe-inspiring obstacles across a metropolis in this case – Southport. Allowing competitors to run through the thousands of gathered spectators up close and personal – close enough to witness the Xtreme pain and anguish. This is a very different endurance event said Jonathan.
In addition Southport business is set to benefit from an anticipated economic rush as thousands of competitors and spectators head to Southport for overnight stays and sample the coastal hospitality of Southport.
In addition those who are keen to see the list of 35 Xtreme obstacles and detailed 18km + course layout can visit www.xtremestorm.com where the xtreme pain can be observed. If you want a good reason to get those Xmas pounds off this is it. So what excuse are you going to give yourself not to do it? It is time to face…’The STORM’
