Gareth Lang, Colin Toohey, James Doran & Mark Astwood received the Visiter Local Heroes Award on behalf of Southport RFC at the Dinner last night.
Whilst we still wait to hear from Guinness that the time of 26 hours 36 minutes 02 seconds achieved on the never-to-be forgotten weekend last July is the official new world record, in the eyes of the Visiter everyone who played, organised and contributed to the attempt is a local hero. Terrific and thoroughly deserved recognition within our own town. Well done all!
