Work carries on in memory of Ian Burns (Southport)

This weekend a lot work is being carried out by volunteers behind the Conservatory in Hesketh Park, Southport.

Southport resident Ian Burns who ran Oak Bridge Support Services & Horticultural Centre sadly died on 2nd of August 2014.

At the rear of Hesketh Park Conservatory Oak-Bridge leased half an acre of land for a community project which involves growing spaces for local schools and the community.

Unfortunately Ian never managed to complete the garden works he set out to do.

His brother John took over the task of completing the garden in Ian’s memory.

About ten local businessmen, friends & volunteers have got together this weekend are currently in the process of completing the garden which they hope to finish by Sunday night.

The project enables people with learning difficulties to have a job and be recognized for doing hard work.

Members of the public can buy plants etc at reasonable prices from Hesketh Park Conservatory,  just call in!
