Organisers of this year’s re-scheduled Woodvale Rally have just announced new parking arrangements for the event.
Parking for this year’s rally at Victoria Park on July 28 and 29 will now be at Birkdale Common where there will be a £2 charge with a free vintage bus service to the event.
Council car parks will also be open at the Eco Centre and Fairways where a charge will be made.
Peter Wood, rally manager, said: “Because of flooding at the south end of Victoria Park, the Woodvale Rally caravan and camping area will now be located at Princes Park which is why the main parking has been moved to Birkdale.”
For those arriving by train a free vintage bus service will also operate from Chapel Street station to the showground.
Tickets in advance, which are valid for both days cost £25 for a family, £10 for adults, £5 for children and £8 for OAPs.
Camping plots are available for a family at £65 with additional adults and vehicles at £5 each. Camping is for three night from Fri 27 and covers entrance to the show.
Shopmobility services are also available.
Advance tickets are available from Southport TIC and for further information or to book camping call 0844740 9172 or visit www.woodvalerally.com
