Woodvale Badminton Club raise £1105 at Badmintonathon
The Southport Lifeboat would like to thank Woodvale Badminton Club for raising funds for our new boathouse at their Badmintonathon last September.
£1105 was raised for both the New Boathouse appeal and for Queenscourt Hospice by the club, who also collected food donations for Southport Food Bank.
The event, held in memory of former WBC member Phil Barber, raised money through sponsorship, a raffle and donations.
Players took turns in continual badminton matches for 24hrs which included an junior hour, fancy dress hour and a rave hour.
