Woodvale: antisocial activity frightens pensioners

2nd November 2017

Alarmed pensioners called 999 last night as a gang of selfish and unruly yobs, scrambled over fences and ran amok shouting through properties at Sandbrook Road flats.

Police later claimed to have attended the area, yet some residents counter-claimed, saying that no police officers were seen anywhere throughout the evening.

Parental responsibility appears to be absent with an ‘out of sight out of mind’ attitude to the ongoing problems from some apathetic Woodvale mums and dads.

OTS News understands that the anxious residents at local flats adjacent to the Catholic church are believed to have  complained of disruptive and antisocial conduct from bored yobs in the location, especially in the evenings on many occasions.

Tabled options to improve this beleaguered area have been suggested with more police patrols and possible CCTV, dependant on any available funding.

Drug and booze abuse are indicated as a large part of the problem right across the Southport region.
