Women with head injuries waits over 1 hour for ambulance in Southport

• Women trips on curb and splits her head open.

• Women was taken to hospital one hour and ten minutes after ambulance was called.

Today a woman who split her head open after tripping on a curb on Nevill Street had to wait one hour and ten minutes for an ambulance, Sunday 9 August.

A member the public called for an ambulance at 2pm and twenty minutes later a response paramedic car arrived and treated her injuries. The lady

“The lady appeared to be in a state of shock and her head injury looked quiet serious, our ambulance service must be really stretched if she had to wait one hour for a head injury such as this”.
