Women praised for helping injured pensioner in Southport

Paramedics were called to Albert Road, Southport this morning following a 999 call at around 10am, Friday 15 July 2016.

A local resident told our reporter: “The woman was comforted by members of the public who had abandoned their cars at the Park Road traffic lights in order to help the woman that had taken a fall.”

“These women did a great job – Well done to all involved!”

Paramedics arrived and treated the lady for minor injuries before transferring her to Southport & Formby DGH for treatment.
