Woman taken to hospital after crash at Southport junction

A woman was taken to hospital after two cars crashed in Southport.

Emergency services were called to the junction of Sussex and St Luke’s Road at 8pm, Sunday 18 September 2016.

Paramedics and police arrived at the scene shortly after 8.30pm.

The driver of a grey Suzuki Estate, was taken to Southport and Ormskirk Hospital with arm injuries. The driver of the other car involved (a red Skoda Fabia) is not thought to have been hurt.

The road was closed and local diversions were put in place whilst Sefton Council cleared oil and debris from the collision.
