A mum had to be taken to hospital after breaking her arm at a children’s playground.

The mum was helping her child off one of the climbing frame at Hesketh Park, Southport before she tripped and shattered a bone in her arm.

A first responder arrived quickly on the scene but the patient was forced to wait over an hour before an ambulance turned up.

She was taken to Southport hospital where she was treated for her injury. Kind hearted fellow parents stayed with the woman and comforted her while she was in pain.
