Police have closed off part of Lord Street this morning following a daring smash and grab raid at a town centre jewellers
Prestige Diamonds were targeted in the early hours of this morning in a daring raid by an as yet unidentified group of Male suspects.
The would be thieves broke through the metal shutter barrier protecting the shop before smashing through the front windows
Unfortunately the thieves managed to gain entry into the shop and set about removing jewellery from the front window while more expensive items had been securely locked up in the back of the store
Police are now asking for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to call 101 immediately
