The Chancellor of the Exchequer announced on 25 November at the 2015 Autumn Statement that the doubling of the Small Business Rate Relief scheme would continue for a further year (2016-17).
Multipliers
The Provisional Multipliers for 2016-17 have been announced:
- Provisional non-domestic multiplier for 2016-17 is 49.7p
- Provisional small business non-domestic multiplier for 2016- 17 is 48.4p
The provisional multipliers will be confirmed after either the Local Government Finance Report for 2016-17 has been approved by the House of Commons or 1 March 2016, whichever is earlier.
