Who’s In Court: Seven found guilty of littering

Seven people have this week been found guilty of littering across Sefton, leading to fines totalling nearly £1,700.

Four Sefton residents, two men from West Lancashire and a man from Blackpool were all found guilty of littering after being caught by enforcement officers dropping rubbish in various parts of the borough.

A guilty plea was entered by post from Sharon Smith, 47, of Hoghton Grove, Southport and she was subsequently ordered to pay £222.

Robert Davies, 59, of Linacre Road, Litherland, appeared at South Sefton Magistrates court to plead guilty to the offence and was fined £105.

The following cases were proven in absence:

Mark Brennan, 20, of Royal Terrace, Southport: Fined £272.

Jennifer Moy, 25, of Handfield Road, Waterloo: Fined £272.

David Green, 51, Wigan: Fined £272.

Joseph Falkner, 30 of Livingstone Road, Blackpool: Fined £272.

Kamil Zurawik, 30, of Skelnersdale: Fined £272.
