Who’s In Court: Litterbugs rack up £2k in littering fines

Five people have appeared in court charged with littering across Sefton.

Four residents from Sefton and a man from Liverpool appeared at South Sefton Magistrates Court on Tuesday October 24 where they were each found guilty of littering.

Debbie McCandlish, 53, of Bath Street North, Southport, was found guilty of littering and was fined £392.

Peter O’Neil of Kirkstone Road, Litherland, was found to have fly-tipped a bin bag full of rubbish but his case was dealt with by magistrates as littering. He was fined £472.

Sharon Mellar, 47, of Hereford Drive, Bootle was found guilty of littering and was fined £392.

 

Marin Gheorge Gamin, 30,  of Lambton Road, Liverpool, was found guilty of littering and was fined £392.

Sarah Ambrose, 32, of Merchant Close, Bootle was found guilty of littering and was fined £392.
