What is Ihram?

Dhul Hulaifa:
Dhul Hulaifa is one of the most prominent Meeqat point for the people who are coming from the Madinah. According to a hadith which is narrated by Ibn Abbas and written in the Sahih Bukhari, Dhul Hulaifa is the Meeqat point for the people of Madinah. It is located about 18 Kilometers to the southwest of Masjid a Nabavi and 410 Kilometers from the city of Mecca. Other names of Dhul Hulaifa are Abyar Ali and Masjid ash-Shajarah. The mosque was constructed in the reign of Umar II bin Abdul Aziz who did the Umayyad Royal family designate the governor. Later, King Fahad renovated it in his reign.
Al Juhfan:
Al Juhfah is also known with the name of Rabigh, situated in the Mecca. It is positioned about 182 Kilometers from the Mecca. Al Juhfa is one of Meeqat point for the people coming from the North America, Europe, Turkey, Syria, Egypt, Algeria, Sudan, and various other African countries. Additionally, town of Rabigh is located in just north of the Al Juhfah from where Pilgrims can wear the Ihram. According to a hadith of Sahih Bukhari, Holy Prophet ﷺ defined it the Meeqat point for the people coming from Egypt and Levant (Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine/Israel, Syria, and Turkey were called Levant in the old times).
Qarn Al Manazil:
Qarn Al Manazil is known for the Meeqat Point and Second largest Meeqat place after the Dhul Hulaifa. It is also known with the name of As Sayl al Kabir and it is the Meeqat point for the people coming from Najd and for the people coming from Najad including, but not limited to, the U.A.E, Oman, Pakistan, Australia, Malaysia, and Singapore. The city of Taif is in the vicinity of this Meeqat point. Masjid Al Ayesha is also located nearer to it.
Dhat Irq
Dhat Irq is located about 90 Kilometers from the Northeast of the Mecca city and one of the prominent Meeqat point for the people who are coming from countries like Iraq, Iran, China, and Russia. It is located near to the As-Sayl al-Kabir which is one of the Meeqat point for the Najad. It is Meeqat point which was defined by the second right guided Caliph of Islam, Hazrat Umar Bin Al Khattab R.A.
Yalamlam:
Yalamlam is one of the Meeqat Point defined by the Holy Prophet ﷺ for the people of Yemen. But in the present era it also serving as the Meeqat point for the countries, South Africa, Nigeria, and others people who are coming from the south regions. It is also known with the name of Al Sadiah. It is also ninety kilometers away from the city of Lith.
