‘We’ll be back’ Defiant message from store owner after burglary destruction

3rd April 2021

The owner of a boutique children’s clothing store in Southport say they are devastated but determined after they were broken into and their shop entrance all but ruined.

Thugs burst through the front door of Over The Moon Kids Boutique on Union Street in the early hours of this morning (Saturday April 3rd) causing an incredible amount of structural damage and running amok, leaving an expensive trail of devastation.

The store’s owner Tina Bulmer, a well known local campaigner for businesses across the resort, said she was stunned that such a thing could happen so close to her reopening later this month.

The devastation will now delay the store’s return to normality but Tina insists she will bounce back stronger.

She said “I am sorry we will be closed until further notice, due to a heartless break-in tonight Saturday 3rd April at the shop.

“They have caused so much damage and I am heart broken, especially after all the work we had done getting ready to re-open and welcome our loyal customers back.

“We will repair the shop and will not be beaten the these heartless thieves.

“We will need your support more than ever, when we do open, thank you for your understanding and continued support.”
