The Met Office have issued a SEVERE weather warning for winds of up to 38MPH with gusts of over 60MPH in the costal area of Southport until 3:00PM Saturday 9th Feb.
Warning continues – A spell of strong winds will push west to east through the day, bringing potential travel disruption.
What to expect: Some delays to road and rail transport are likely. Delays for high sided vehicles on exposed routes and bridges likely.
Some short term loss of power and other services is possible.
It’s likely that some coastal routes, sea fronts and coastal communities will be affected by spray and/or large waves.
There is a slight chance of power cuts and loss of other services to some homes and businesses.
