Weather forecast good for Southport’s Charity Fireworks and Bonfire event

Southport Hesketh Round Table (SHRT) hosts their annual Charity Fireworks and Bonfire night; the family friendly event returns to Victoria Park on Saturday 5 November, 2016.

Adult tickets are £7, its only £3 for accompanied under-11s and children under five years old are free!  To be paid on the night at the main gates.

Advanced family tickets will be available online for just £15 (2 Adults & 2 Children) details to follow soon! The proceeds of this year’s event will be donated to local charities.

The event is organised and marshalled by a dedicated team of volunteers from the local community, who have worked tirelessly over the years to bring this fantastic family event to the people of Southport.

The fun-packed evening begins when the gates open at 5pm, with the fairground, live music and other attractions in full swing!  The lighting of the bonfire takes place at 6.30pm, followed by a spectacular firework display at 8pm. As well as the pyrotechnics, there’s plenty to keep the whole family occupied, from fairground rides, live music to a hearty hog roast along with food & drink stalls. Gates open at 5pm and close at 10pm.

The SHRT fireworks event has previously raised charitable funds for a range of deserving causes, such as Alder Hey Children’s Charity, Southport Samaritans and Help for Heroes to name but a few.

The people of Southport have always been hugely supportive of the annual bonfire and fireworks event. We’re hoping that they’ll turn out in their droves again this year for an action-packed evening of fun, and help us to raise a large amount of money for an excellent cause in the process.
