Wayfarers Shopping Arcade Celebrated 120th Milstone
Wayfarers Shopping Arcade has been at the heart of the seaside town of Southport for 12 decades – and last week marked 120 years since it first opened its doors. To celebrate this special milestone, Wayfarers Shopping Arcade hosted an exclusive shopping event.
Guests who attended the event enjoyed a special performance from members of the Southport Orchestra, free nibbles and fizz, exclusive offers from the retailers as well as an exhibition which looked back on the history of the arcade.
Yvonne Burns, Wayfarers Shopping Arcade centre manager, said: “We had a fantastic day celebrating our 120th anniversary, it was great to offer our customers the chance to enjoy a variety of exclusive discounts from our retailers and learn about the history of the Arcade. We want to thank the Southport Orchestra for their brilliant performance and we hope everyone who attended the event enjoyed it as much as we did.“
