This year the Event hopes to raise between £15,000 and £20,000 for local community groups and will also bring over 6,000 people into the Resort on Sunday morning.
Many of the runners and supporters will go on afterwards to eat in the Town, bringing valued revenue to the Resort.
Hesketh Round Table member Matthew Rycraft said: “The members from Southport & Hesketh Round Table really pulled together this morning to get all 2500 goodies bags filled with lots of cool freebies loaded and transported to Stanley High School for tomorrows race.
“Signs along the race course in Southport are also being erected today and the school prepped, tomorrow’s going to another fabulous race”.
