Nature is slowly reclaiming Southport and wild animals are starting to appear in the most bizarre of places.
One motorist was forced to stop his car this morning on Aughton Road in Birkdale after getting quite the surprise when a Roe Deer dashed across the road.
This is the second time a Roe deer has been spotted venturing further into suburbia while the number of humans out and about has considerably reduced.
Pest control officers have also reported an increase in people reporting foxes rummaging through bins while rubbish is left out longer.
