Warning of a possible scam in the Ainsdale Area
Earlier this month two men dressed in business suits called at an address in Ainsdale they introduced themselves as representing a firm that specialised in Assisted Living accommodation. They stated the firm they worked for was interested in buying the property from the residents in order to build six two storey flats.
The men informed the owners that they would ensure the property was in a good state of repair in order that they would get the full market price, and in addition they would add a further £5,000 to the asking price.
The couple refused and the men left. When enquiries were made to the named firm, they were told that the company did not Cold Call.
The Police would be interested to hear from anyone living in any area of West Sefton who had received a Cold Call from two men wanting to buy property in a similar manner as described.
