Southport MP wants you to report potholes

Fixing potholes is an important part of Damien Moore’s plan for Southport, which is why he is asking residents to report any they see to Sefton Council.

After meeting the chief executive, Margaret Carney, he was told that reports from Southport residents would be inspected and reported.

This year, the government provided the council with nearly £500,000 in funding for potholes in two instalments following a difficult winter.

Yet Mr. Moore felt there was a disparity between Bootle and Southport, and our town wasn’t seeing this money on its streets.

‘I’d like to thank Margaret Carney for promising to be so responsive to my constituents’, Mr. Moore said.

‘Repairing our roads is an important part of renewing the town.

If everyone reports them when they see them, we can make a real difference to Southport.’
