WANTED ON PRISON RECALL – ALEX IVAN JOHN MALONEY

    By 22nd January 2016

Merseyside Police is appealing for the public’s help to trace a 29-year-old man who is wanted on recall to prison.

Detectives are keen to hear from anyone who can help trace Alex Ivan John Maloney, 29, of no fixed abode, who is wanted on recall to prison for breaching his licence conditions.

Officers also want to speak to Mr Maloney as part of investigations into nine burglaries at premises used for education and care services in Sefton between 3 November 2015 and Wednesday, 20 January 2016.

During the incidents, an offender entered various premises in the area and stole items such as charity collection boxes, a purse, a laptop, and musical instruments from public and staff areas.

Extensive enquiries have been made by officers to progress the investigation and they are now asking for the public’s help in tracing Mr Maloney so they can speak to him as part of their enquiries.

Mr Maloney is described as being white, 6ft tall, and of slim build. He has short brown hair, brown eyes and wears glasses.

He is known to have links to the Bootle, Litherland and South Liverpool areas.

Officers would ask Mr Maloney, or anyone who knows of his whereabouts, to contact officers on 0151 777 3702 or via the non-emergency 101 number. Information can also be provided to Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
