A heavy goods vehicle has collided into a care centre on the corner of Meadow Lane and Sandbrook Road in Ainsdale.
The centre is directly opposite the junction of the two roads and one local resident told OTS they believed icy roads prevented the driver from stopping.
Police are currently on scene.
Drivers are being asked to avoid the Meadow Lane and Sandbrook Road areas.
The North West Air Ambulance also attended.
OTS News understands that the centre was empty at the time.
